Work with me

Your have the experience.
Let’s get clear on where it fits next.

Career coaching for experienced international professionals navigating career change, sector shifts, global mobility, and professional uncertainty.

When the next step is not obvious, we start with the decision underneath the activity, then build the positioning and strategy to move forward with confidence.

Ways to Work Together

Three entry points. Start where it makes sense.

Every engagement begins with a conversation.
The right starting point depends on where you are now.

Where most people start

The Career Clarity Call

Free 30–45 minutes

A focused first conversation to get a clear read on your situation. We look at where you are, what is not moving, and what may be getting in the way. I give you my honest assessment, and we decide together what kind of support would help.

For more precision

Decision Profile Debrief

You complete the Energy Leadership Index, a research-backed assessment that surfaces how you are responding to your situation, where your energy is going, and what may be shaping your decisions without you fully realising it. We review it together in a dedicated session.

How the journey unfolds

The five steps build on each other in order

01.

Establish where you are

We look at what shifted, what is no longer working, and where your experience is or is not landing clearly.

02.

Clarify what you are deciding

We identify the real decision in front of you: role, sector, geography, seniority, timing, positioning, or whether the old direction still fits.

03.

Translate your experience

We shape your background into language the right people can understand quickly, without flattening what you have actually done.

04.

Build a focused strategy

We identify the roles, organisations, people, and conversations most likely to matter.

05.

Move with intention

As you act, we use what happens, i.e. responses, silence, conversations, interviews, new information, to refine the strategy without losing the thread.

What the full engagement gives you

A working structure for the transition.

Over four months, the work gives you a place to bring the decisions, materials, conversations, feedback, and doubts that come up as you move.

We are not trying to solve everything in theory before you act. We build enough clarity so that you can take the next step, then use what results to refine the strategy.

That may include deciding which roles are worth testing, how to explain your background for a specific opportunity, whether a conversation needs follow-up, how to prepare for an interview, or when a direction is no longer worth pursuing.

The value is not only the plan we build at the beginning. It is having a clear thinking partner as the transition unfolds.

What Clients Say

Results depend on where each person is and what they bring to the work.

Working with Mai, I was able to identify concrete methods and tools to strengthen and align my executive presence with my professional experience. This included identifying and addressing specific gaps that had time and time held me back, whether in interviews or previous positions.
Ryan K.
The ELI assessment provided useful insights into energy levels and how they can be consciously used to reach specific goals. I am very grateful for Mai's help and guidance, and feel more confident and in control following our sessions.
Edith Read
Mai has a real ability to be intuitive, even in a remote coaching setting. She integrates personal and professional dynamics in a way that feels natural and useful, and it's clear she brings a lot of experience helping people navigate complex situations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

This work is for experienced international professionals navigating career change, sector shifts, global mobility, or professional uncertainty, including those in international development, diplomacy, multilateral organisations, global NGOs, foundations, and mission-driven work whose careers do not fit a standard path.
Not exactly. The work can include CVs, LinkedIn, outreach, interviews, and search strategy, but those are not the starting point. The deeper work is clarifying direction, translating experience, strengthening positioning, and making better decisions about where to focus. The tactics follow from that.
No. Many clients begin precisely because they do not yet have a clear direction. The work starts by making sense of where you are, what is not landing, and what needs to become clearer before the external strategy can work.
That is often where this work is most useful. When you move across sectors, geographies, or organisational contexts, your experience may need to be explained differently. We look at what transfers, what needs reframing, and where your background is most likely to be understood and valued.
If there is a clear fit for deeper work, I will recommend the next step,  either the Decision Profile Debrief or the full Career Recalibration. If I do not think my work is the right fit, I will tell you that and point you toward something that is.
The Career Recalibration runs over approximately four months. That gives enough time to think, act, test language, have conversations, and refine the strategy based on what happens in the market.
Yes. The full engagement can be paid in two payments of $1,030. The $250 Decision Profile Debrief fee is credited toward the full engagement if you continue.

Your next move does not have to be a guess.

If your direction is not yet clear, that is exactly what the Career Clarity Call is for.
